When I was a little girl I would go to a babysitter’s house to give my mom a break from my toddler antics. At Ms. Becky’s, I would always stare up the steps into her oldest daughter’s pink bedroom which loomed like the shining gates of heaven.

It seemed to exude a neon pink glow as faux fur and sequins called to me through the doorway. I’m sure my memories have warped over the years but this particular imagery remains as one of my earliest infatuations.

After years of wanting to execute a styling photoshoot with my own vintage and contemporary collection, I can happily say dreams do come true and my 4 year old self finally climbed the stairway to her pink heaven.
