My most recent research project for my Fashion Forecasting course focused on current trends followed by predictions spanning 3-5 years in the future.

The first two slides detail trends and color analysis discussed on social media and Pinterest, as well as how the trends are evolving as seen by the public. I predicted and recognize the shift of color from the previous year’s Pantone color of the year into the current color of the year.

The last two slides are my original predictions based on WGSN trends, art predictions, and color trends based on the calculations of the past 15 years. I believe there to be a renaissance of futuristic and alien-like details in a new and feminine way. The colors will be light and muted with a surge in Kimono-style jackets and outerwear.
