Fashion and Finding Myself
A few months before I had to make my college decisions, I was still contemplating what I wanted to do with my life. Fortunately, one of my neighbors shared her experiences pursuing a major in Fashion Merchandising, and I was instantly hooked. At that time, I had significant doubts about attending Belmont University. However, as soon as I set foot on the campus for a tour, I fell head over heels in love with the place.
I started college with great enthusiasm and made it through the challenges of my first year. Yet, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was still missing from my educational journey. That's when I decided to add a minor in art history, thinking it might complement my passion for fashion and help me find a more defined path.
Fast forward to today, and here I am, midway through the first semester of my junior year. I can finally say that I'm on my way to deciding what to do with the rest of my life. Considering one's career, especially at the age of 18, can be an incredibly daunting task. However, three years later, I'm profoundly grateful that I've been able to pursue a path that I love.
Throughout my time at Belmont, my experiences on campus have been instrumental in helping me narrow down my focus. I've had the opportunity to learn from both dedicated professors and accomplished professionals in the fields of Fashion Merchandising and Art History. These interactions, along with various internships and projects, have provided me with a more refined understanding of my passions and potential career directions. It's been an incredible journey of self-discovery, and I couldn't be happier with the direction it's taking me.
